DIRECT CONVERSION RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To detect a reception level and to make the reception gain stable by converting a received signal into a low frequency signal, converting it into an FM signal and demodulating the signal via a limiter amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A supplied received signal Se is fed to a low frequency conversion section 12, in which the signal is converted into low frequency signals Sga, Sgb. The signals Sga, Sgb are fed to FM conversion section 24, in which the signals are converted to FM signals Sia, Sib. The signals Sia, Sib are synthesized and fed to a limiter amplifier 32, from which a detected signal Sj representing the level and an output signal Sk are led. The output signal Sk is fed to a demodulation section 34, from which low frequency demodulation signals Sma, Smb are led out. Thus, the level of the supplied received signal is detected, that is, the detected signal is led out (received electric field level). Moreover, the reception gain in the demodulation signal processing is made stable.
