Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality oil free from water and used for the generation of electricity with a diesel by thermally decomposing org. sludge contg. nitrogen to produce char and oil and by neutralizing the oil with an acid. CONSTITUTION:Org. sludge contg. nitrogen is thermally decomposed by heating at 200-600 deg.C under atmospheric pressure or elevated pressure to produce char and oil. This oil is then neutralized with an acid to obtain high-quality oil. Any of inorg. and org. acids may be used as the acid for neutralization but nitric acid, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid are unsuitable because nitric acid and phosphoric acid contain N and P causing supernutrition, respectively, and sulfuric acid sulfonates the oil. Org. acids are not suitable because BOD is increased. Hydrochloric acid is used as the optimum acid. The purified oil has low kinematic viscosity and a low pour point.
