PURPOSE:To obtain a large deformation amount, to realize a base isolation effect against a large earthquake and to facilitate the installing work of a housing by providing a cylinder member in which rings are buried. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder member 3 made of an elastic member, an end material 4 to be engaged with a bottom 2 through a coupler 9, an end material 5 in contact with a floor 7, and rings 6 to be superposed in the height direction of the member 3 at a predetermined pitch P and to be buried in a thick part 3A of the member 3 are provided. The material 4 secured to one end of the member 3 in which the rings 6 are buried at the pitch P is engaged with the bottom 2 of a housing 1 through the coupler 9, the material 5 secured to the other end of the member 3 is brought into contact with the floor 7, and the housing 1 is supported. As a result, a base isolation effect is obtained against a large earthquake.
