Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To perform high accurate stop control of transfer paper sheets so as to prevent generation of looseness by applying a brake while turning off a drive motor in a paper feed unit part based on a signal of a sensor which detects arrival of resist roller of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:In a control part 165, transfer paper sheets on cassette tables 150 to 153 are conveyed by turning on clutches of paper feed rolls 154 to 157 while turning on motors 116, 162 for a picture forming part and for a paper feed unit part in accordance with start of copying. Arrival of the transfer paper sheet at a resist roller 118 is detected by a sensor 117, and the motor 162 is stopped by actuating a brake circuit 164 while turning it off through a motor driving circuit 163 after a predetermined time. Further, a roller 166 is stopped by turning off a relay clutch after a predetermined time. In this way, high accurate stop control is made possible without causing any high cost by preventing generation of looseness of the transfer paper sheet in a part (a).
