Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To set an arbitrary delay time to an optical pulse signal by coupling a unit time delaying fiber to an optical switch which can switch an optical path between input and output terminals, and sending out a switching control signal to the optical switch. CONSTITUTION:An optical pulse signal inputted to an optical input terminal 20 is divided into two by a coupler 21. An electrical pulse signal photodetected by a photodetector 24 is amplified by an amplifier 25, subjected to waveform shaping by a waveform shaping device 26, and the pulse set by a controller 27 is counted by a counter 28. A pulse generator 29 sends out the switching control signal of an optical switch to an optical waveguide type switch 30. On the other hand, an optical pulse signal applied to a first optical delay line 22 is delayed by almost the same time as a delay in an electronic circuit and applied to an input terminal (a) of the optical switch 30, goes round through a unit time delaying optical fiber 31 by a delay time set by the controller 27, and is outputted from the other output terminal (d).
