PRODUCTION OF NON-FILM-FORMING RESIN EMULSION CONTAINING ULTRAVIOLET ABSORBER COMONOMER AND COSMETIC CONTAINING SAME RESIN

PURPOSE:To obtain a non-film-forming resin emulsion which can protect the skin by screening ultraviolet rays, does not irritate the skin and excels in adhesion thereto by emulsion-polymerizing a radical-polymerizable monomer with a polymerizable unsaturated reactive ultraviolet absorber. CONSTITUTION:The title emulsion is produced by emulsion-copolymerizing a radical-polymerizable monomer with at least one polymerizable unsaturated reactive ultraviolet absorber selected from compounds of formulas I-III, compounds of formulas V-VIII and a compound of formula IV. In the formulas, Q1 is vinyl, a group of formula IX or 1-20C alkyl; R1 is H, methoxy or vinyl; R2 is amino or a group of formula X, XI or XII; R3 is H or vinyl; R4 is a group of formula XIII or vinyl; R5 and R6 are each H, methyl, isopropyl, t-butyl or methoxy; R7 is a group of formula IX or vinyl; R8 and R9 are each H, methyl or vinyl; R10 is a group of formula XIII or vinyl; R11 is H, methyl, isopropyl, t-butyl or methoxy; R12 and R13 are each H, vinyl or the like; and R14 and R15 are each H, vinyl, 1-20C alkyl or the like.
