Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain an accurate, homogeneous fiber blend by calculating a component distribution which comes close to the desired component distribution and satisfies the desired yarn characteristics through a controlling system, and controlling the motion of a blender so that the fiber blend of the calculated component distribution is obtained. CONSTITUTION: Information comprising roughly estimated desired quantitative distribution of components, characteristics of fibers of each component and desired characteristics of a card sliver or a yarn produced from a fiber blend is fed into a control unit 7, and a component distribution which comes close to the desired component distribution and satisfies the desired characteristics of the card sliver or the yarn is calculated in the control unit. The control unit 7 controls a fiber opening unit 3 and a conveyer belt 1 based on a color signal 67, a fineness signal 68 and the like of the sliver to obtain a fiver blend having the calculated component distribution.
