PRESSURE SENSITIVE COPYING PAPER

PURPOSE:To improve coloring properties by applying an application liquid containing synthetic polymer latex of specific composition to support with a microcapsule with a synthetic polymer wall film and thereby preparing pressure sensitive copying paper. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic polymer latex is prepared by copolymerizing the following materials: 31 to 64 wt.% of alliphatic conjugate diolefin monomer, 6 to 15 wt.% of ethylene unsaturated monomer, 25 to 58 wt.% of ethylene unsaturated ester carboxylate monomer, 5 to 25 wt.% of ethylene unsaturated nitrile monomer and 0 to 20 wt.% of ethylene unsaturated amide monomer. A microcapsule with synthetic polymer wall film is added to the synthetic polymer latex to prepare an application liquid. This application liquid is applied to the surface of a support such as paper, synthetic paper or synthetic film and this applied liquid is dried to form a pressure sensitive copying paper.
