FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To shorten the time for becoming a state that image data can be sent out by sending out an instruction signal in a control signal through a high speed MODEM, and subsequently, sending out framed image data. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is provided with a frame generating/decomposing part 3 for framing image data at the time of transmission, and also, extracting image data from the framed image data at the time of reception, and moreover, containing a function of a control signal generating/decomposing part, as well. In such a state, a communication control part 4 gives an instruction so that an instruction signal frame by the control signal generating/decomposing part 4 is outputted to a high speed MODEM 2, and gives an instruction so that the image data frames to the frame generating/decomposing part 3 is outputted to the high speed MODEM 2 without stopping the high speed MODEM 2, when the high speed MODEM completes to send out the frame instruction signal. In such a way, by decreasing the number of times of switching of transmission and reception of a control signal and the number of times of switching of the high speed MODEM and a low speed MODEM, the communication time can be shortened.
