Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase the intrasurface orientation of magnetization of magnetic powder and to improve magnetic characteristics such as squareness ratio by setting the temp. of a medium lower than room temp. during applying a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:When vaporization of a solvent is reduced at the time of orientation, bad orienting of magnetic powder due to higher viscosity of a coating material can be prevented. Generally, coating materials show low viscosity at higher temp., however, after applying a coating material thinly on a substrate, the coating film has a large surface area exposed to air and is apt to cause vaporization of the solvent and an increase of viscosity of the coating material. Thereby, by lowering the temp. of the substrate on orienting, volatization of the solvent can be reduced and good orientation can be obtained. Thereby, the medium has high orientation, resulting in the improved magnetic characteristics with >20% improvement in the squereness ratio.
