METHOD FOR FORMING PRODUCTION RULE

PURPOSE:To find out the erroneous rules and the misjudgement by providing the notion of the rule intensity value at every route, updating this intensity value for each application of the fact data, and forming a production rule based on the updating result. CONSTITUTION:The rule intensity value is defined as (1 + a)/(2 + n), where (n) shows the number of times of the route and (a) shows the number of times when the due conclusions are obtained amount (n) times of pass. Then the rule intensity value is defined as 0.5 with n = a = 0 in an initial state. When the fact data is applied to a production rule, this data is branched at each branching point in accordance with the contents of the rule and a single piece of path is formed between the head branching point 1 and a conclusion. Then the related rule intensity value is updated according to the preceding formula. The rule intensity value approximates to 1 or 0 by increasing the number of times of the pass (n). The approximation to 1 shows adue conclusion ad the approximation to 0 shows an improper conclusion respectively. Thus, it is possible to reform the production rule into the one close to a practical rule based on the actual verification result of the rule intensity value.
