ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PURPOSE:To enhance offset resistance, fluidity, impact resistance, fixability, and electric chargeability characteristics by using a resin synthesized by introducing a polymerizable functional group having a double bond on the terminal of a polymer and using this macromonomer. CONSTITUTION:The resin to be used for the toner is a polymer or a mixture of polymers synthesized from a vinyl monomer by introducing the polymerizable functional group having a double bond into the terminal of the polymer and using this macromonomer in order to form soft segments in the polymer skeleton and to enhance only elasticity without changing viscosity, thus permitting the obtained toner to lower its fixing temperature as a monocolor toner and to enlarge its fixing temperature range without impairing the smoothness of the fixed surface as the monocolor toner, and therefore to provide high-quality copied images stably for a long period without causing any offset as the monocolor toner and a full-color toner.
