Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy of viscosity by changing a vibrating frequency at a specified frequency pitch, vibrating a vibrating reed in liquid to be measured, and obtaining the resonant frequency of the vibrating reed and the liquid to be measured based on the vibrating value of the vibrating reed. CONSTITUTION:A vibrating reed 24 at the lower end of a shaft 22 provided in a viscosity measuring meter 2 is lifted and lowered along the part between the external position of a heating furnace 1 and a position in a crucible 11 in to which the vibrating reed 24 is submerged in the liquid to be measured in the crucible 11 with a lifting means which is not shown. An operation controlling part 31 in a measuring device 3 receives the inner temperature of the furnace and the temperature of the liquid to be measured in the fused state in the crucible 11 through probes 15a and 15b. The controlling part 31 outputs a control signal through a furnace controller 14. The temperature of the liquid to be measured is set at a viscosity measuring temperature. Then, a specified vibrating frequency is set at a shaking source 21 through an oscillator 35 and a power amplifier 36. The amplitudes of the vibrating reed 24 in the air, or in the liquid to be measured and standard viscosity liquid 16 at this time are received as the detected values of a displacement gage 25, and the viscosity is computed. In this way, the viscosity can be measured accurately in a short cycle.
