Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance the anti-shock ability by using a binder in which a first vitrified binder and a second vitrified binder having a softening point, a thermal expansion coefficient and an averaged grain size which are larger than those of the first vitrified binder so as to increase the strength of the vitrified binder. CONSTITUTION:By sintering first and second vitrified binders 4, 3 at a temperature at which the second vitrified binder 3 is slightly melted, the first vitrified binder 4 is completely melted, and accordingly, the slightly melted second vitrified binder 3 is covered therearound with the melted first vitrified binder 4. Accordingly, the first vitrified binder 4 has a compression stress as they are cooled, so as to increase the tensile strength. Thus increased tensile strength can alleviate the fragility which is inherent in a vitrified binder 2, and accordingly, the strength of the entire binder is increased, thereby it is possible to obtain a long life grindstone having a high resistance against shocks during grinding.
