RUBBER COATING DEVICE FOR STEEL CORD

PURPOSE:To eliminate unevenness of tension on a plurality of steel cords and prevent cords from being defectively arranged at the time of rubber coating by disposing magnets on the upstream side of a calendar and providing the steel cords with tension. CONSTITUTION:Steel cords 1 are pulled by a calendar 13 and travelled and tension is applied to the same by the resistance based on the magnetic suction force of a guide plate 4, a tension component 7 and twill bar 10 (mainly tension component 7). As friction force generated with tungalloy 9 by the suction of a magnet 8 of the tension component 7 is applied to all steel cords 1 on the same condition, no uneven tension is generated for the steel cords 1 and the steel cords are arranged into a belt-shaped component 18 under the uniform tension. In the case that the manufactured belt-shaped component 18 is cut, any warp is not generated on the end edge to eliminate the possibility of defective bonding. As the steel cords 1 are of superior durability and the uneven tension of cords because of wear is not generated, defective arrangement of cords can be prevented at the time of rubber coating.
