PURPOSE:To make it possible to use light over a wide range effectively by disposing a plurality of photodiodes in a sphere of irradiation of the light. CONSTITUTION:The respective outputs of photodiodes 1a to 1d are connected to FETs 2a to 2d for switching and these photodiodes 1a to 1d are disposed in a sphere of irradiation. In this way, at least two or more photodiodes 1a to 1d receiving an incident light 3 from one light source or transmission medium are disposed in the sphere of irradiation of the incident light and the respective outputs of the photodiodes 1a to 1d are connected to the respective switching elements 2a to 2d. According to this constitution, the light having been wasted so far outside the sphere of light reception can be used effectively.
