MULTIPLE LAMP ILLUMINATION APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To eliminate a leakage current from wires between a DC power circuit and inverter circuits in lighting fixtures by performing DC power distribution between the DC power circuit and the inverter circuits in the lighting fixtures. CONSTITUTION:Power is fed from an AC power source AC, and discharge lamps fitted to multiple lighting fixtures 4a-4d respectively fitted to an apparatus main body 2 via multiple lighting fixture holding sections 1a-1d are lighted with high-frequency power. A common DC power circuit P2 obtaining a DC current from the AC power source AC is stored in the apparatus main body 2 separated from the lighting fixtures 4a-4d, inverter circuits J1-J4 converting the DC power into high-frequency power and feeding it to the discharge lamps are individually stored in multiple lighting fixtures 4a-4d respectively, and DC power is distributed to the inverter circuits J1-J4 in multiple lighting fixtures 4a-4d from the DC power circuit P2 in the apparatus main body 2 through multiple lighting fixture holding sections 1a-1d. The leakage current from wires between the DC power circuit P2 and the inverter circuits J1-J4 in the lighting fixtures 4a-4d is eliminated, safety is improved, and the occurrence of radiation noise is reduced.
