ADJUSTING DEVICE OF PICKUP FOR OPTICAL MEMORY

PURPOSE:To exactly and rapidly adjust the pickup to desired characteristic and to reduce the size over the entire part of the device by providing a player mechanism device which controls the rotation, movement and relative position of an optical memory medium and a drive measuring instrument, selecting the items of desired characteristic measurement and adjusting the characteristics of the pickup. CONSTITUTION:The player mechanism device 13 has the function to rotate and/or move the optical memory medium 11 relative to the pickup 12, the function to allow the arbitrary setting of the relative posture and position of the optical memory medium 11 and the pickup 12 and the function to adjust the performance or characteristics of the pickup 12 to an optimum or reference value. Various kinds of measuring boards to be exclusively used are built into a drive measuring instrument 14 and the items of the desired characteristic measurement are selected so that the characteristics of the pickup 12 can be adjusted while the measured values are displayed. The exact and rapid execution of various kinds of the measurement with good operability is possible in this way and the pickup 12 is exactly and rapidly adjusted to the desired characteristics. Since the drive measuring instrument 14 can be made into the boards by each function, the constitution over the entire part of the device is simplified and miniaturized.
