Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To find the arrival azimuth of a signal wave with sufficient accuracy by composing a signal of cross correlation signals obtained by weighting correla tion coefficients of a receiver couple of a receiver array corresponding to the interval. CONSTITUTION:Signals of correlation coefficients rhos(5) and rhos(3) outputted by a 1st and 2nd correlators 91 and 92 are weighted by weight coefficients 1/24 and 1/9 respectively through shading circuits 101 and 102 and the results are outputted to an adding circuit 11. Further, a correlation coefficient rhos (1) outputted from a 3rd correlator 93 is outputted to the adding circuit 11 at it is since its weight coefficient is 1. The above weight coefficients are deter mined corresponding to the distance of a couple of acoustic sensors. A costheta calculating circuit 12 inputs the addition result and a signal of cosphi calculated by a phase shift quantity calculating circuit 14 to calculate the value costheta. An inverse transformation calculation circuit 13 which inputs the costheta inverse transforms the costheta to find and output the arrival azimuth theta of the acoustic wave.
