BASEMENT FOR EXISTING HOUSING

PURPOSE:To reduce a cost by building a tunnel under the ground of an urban district, where housings stand in a row, by shield practice, partitioning the interior of the tunnel by partition walls to partition a basement space, and digging a vertical shaft in each basement space which is coupled to each housing. CONSTITUTION:A tunnel 2 is built under the ground of housings 1a-1d in an urban district in a way that cement rings 3 are assembled together as excavation is effected by shield practice. A deck 5 is installed in the direction of length in the tunnel 2, a space under the deck 5 is ensured as an underground multi-purpose duct 6, a portion above the deck 5 is partitioned by partition walls 7 to form basement spaces, and a space 8 is coupled to a housing on a ground through a vertical shaft 9. The tunnel 2 is built by shield practice and construction is executed without exercising an influence on the housing on a ground, and a solid and large space is formed. This constitution reduces a cost.
