RESTORING DEVICE AVAILABLE AT HULL DAMAGE

PURPOSE:To restore a hull level by installing an anti-rolling tank in a high position of the hull, and when it is tilted due to hull damage or the like, floating the hull after exhausting water in the tank whiled lowering the central position. CONSTITUTION:Each of anti-rolling tanks 2 is installed on both symmetrical sides on a bridge deck 3 situated at a relatively high position of a hull 1. Each bottom part of these tanks 2 is interconnected to a connecting pipe 5 via a throttle 4, and it functions as an anti-rolling device. Each drain pipe 7 is connected to these bottom parts of the tanks 2 via an on-off valve 8, and seawater in the tank 2 is made so as to be drainable in a short time by opening of this valve 8. If submergence is starting at time of damage to the hull 1, the on-off valve 8 is opened, and thereby water in the tank 2 is rapidly discharged and the center of gravity of the hull 1 is moved downward, therefore the hull 1 is floated and a tilt angle of the hull 1 due to the damage is reduced and restored. Thus safety is improved.
