Zusammenfassung:	NEW MATERIAL:5-(2-Methylthioethyl)-2,8,10-tricarboxyl-1H-oxazo[5,4-h]- pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline of formula. USE:A physiologically active substance useful as pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals. For example, it is useful as a growth promoting agent for microorganisms, hepatopathy-ameliorating agent for animal, wound-healing agent by tissue-restoration promoting action, anti-AIDS agent by reverse transcriptase inhibiting action, remedy for cataract, pollen-germination promoting agent for plant, agent for promoting growth of pollen tube, etc. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting 1mol of pyrroloquinolinequinone with preferably 1-1,000mol of methionine in a solvent such as water and methanol.
