RECORDING MEDIUM DESIGNATION METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To designate a recording medium provided to a receiver side from a sender side by each attribute by designating the attribute information relating to a recording medium in the case of designating the recording medium from the sender side. CONSTITUTION:When a sender side and a receiver side document it to each other that they have a recording medium designation communication function in themselves, the sender side sends the attribute information relating to a recording medium required at the reception to the receiver side, while the receiver side sends the attribute information relating to the recording medium used by the sender to the sender. Then the sender side designates a desired recording medium based on the attribute information relating to the recording medium used by the sender and received from the receiver side. Thus, the sender side designates a desired recording medium among plural recording media whose attributes differ provided to the receiver side.
