Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To control the position of a traveling object at a high speed and with high accuracy by applying a fuzzy inference to control the position of a traveling object set on a drum revolving in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:A clinometer 6 is set on a cart 1 and the detection value (tilt angle) of the clinometer 6 is inputted to a fuzzy inference device 10 and a differentiation circuit 11. The circuit 11 differentiates the tilt angle to obtain a tilt angle velocity to input it to the device 10. Then the devices 10 carries out a fuzzy inference nased on the input tilt angle and tilt angle velocity to calculate the revolving direction and the manipulated variable of a motor 4. These calculated data are inputted to a motor control part 12. The part 12 supplies a drive current set by the received data to the motor 4. Thus the position of a traveling object is attained at a high speed and with high accuracy by applying the fuzzy inference.
