THERMAL RECORDER

PURPOSE:To mount a head radiation plate with high accuracy, in a thermal recorder wherein U-shape metal fittings are mounted on both sides of a thermal head to fit the thermal head to the shaft of a platen, by providing positioning protruding pieces to the vertical inner surfaces of the U-shape metal fittings. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear positions of a head substrate 28 are determined by bonding the rear surface 28a of the head substrate 28 to the contact surfaces 34a of the positioning protruding pieces 34 of U-shape metal fittings 29. The positions of both sides of the head substrate 28 are determined by bonding the side surface 28b of the head substrate 28 to the contact surfaces 35a of the positioning protruding pieces 35 of the U-shape metal fittings 29. By this constitution, the contact surfaces 34a of the protruding pieces 34 and the contact surfaces 35a of the protruding pieces 35 are set as surface standards to perform the positioning of the head substrate 28 and a head radiation plate 26 is held between the mounting plates 30 of the U-shape metal fittings 29 and the head substrate 28 and rivets are passed through the rivet holes 3a of the mounting plates 30 of the U-shape metal fittings 29 to accurately assemble a thermal head to set the same to the shaft 36 of a platen 23.
