WINDOW FRAME AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To improve designing suitability by a method wherein the surface of a frame body is covered with a bendable deformable cover frame, and a covering sheet is mounted on the surface of the cover frame. CONSTITUTION:Rodform frame material with which a main frame 15 and a press frame 16 are respectively formed are molded through extrusion-molding, and cut surfaces are butted against each other for thermal fusion. A cover frame 24 is then molded through extrusion-molding. Covering sheets 25A and 25B are mounted on the surface of the cover frame as the cover frame is rolled in a flat manner by means of a roll R when it is still in a softened state before cooling. The covering frame is forced to pass through a mould again to mold it in a final shape. The surfaces of surface sheets 18A, 18B, and 18C of a frame body 12 are covered with the frame 24 to form a protrusion 27 thereon, which is securely locked in a groove 28. This method covers the cut mark of the protrusion part of the surface sheet 18A and causes butting of the sheets 24A and 24B against each other in a state to be positioned flush with each other, resulting in improvement of designing suitability.
