KEY MANAGING SYSTEM FOR HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To prevent a heavy equipment accident effectively by constituting a key managing system by a card writer, an ID card, a card reader, a seating detection sensor and an engine driving means for controlling the driving of an engine by the output from the above card reader and the output from the seating detection sensor. CONSTITUTION:In a construction site office, register data such as qualification for operation, belonging company, entry date, etc. and the qualification code of qualification for operation are entried on an ID card 5 by a card writer 2, and the ID card 5 is delivered to an operator with a key 3. The operator applys the ID card 5 to a card reader 6 on the operation seat of a heavy equipment operated to check up the qualification for operation by means of a microcomputer 8, upon proper qualification, the computor 8 issues, simultaneously, a ultrasonic sensor 10 confirms the seating of the operator to issue the signal of the seating, and an engine 12 is started by an engine control circuit 11. After starting the engine, as the engine is stopped when about one minute passes, the card 5 is pulled out quickly after the engine is started.
