COLOR SCANNER

PURPOSE:To adjust a color tone simply by outputting switchingly the output of a white balance adjustment means and the output from an adjustment means adjusting the ratio of the level of each primary color signal depending on the result of judgement of a color judging means. CONSTITUTION:A white original is read by a read element 31 while a white balance signal S9 is made active to adjust the white balance to output a white level 3-primary color signal S2. While a display device 4 whose adjustment is already finished connecting to a picture signal S1 is observed, a variable resistor 33 is adjusted to bring the level of the picture to be white. Thus, the color of the picture of the original is adjusted into an optional color tone. The adjustment is implemented while observing the screen of the display device 4. Since the white level of the picture as an output signal S3 from a white balance adjustment section 22 is outputted, a white level color without color is outputted.
