Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the productivity of the press line from being lowered by identifying the transferring function of the hydraulic servo system based on the power signal an the command signal, and deciding the state of deterioration of the hydraulic servo system based o the transferring function. CONSTITUTION:The sheet thickness of the material to be rolled 2 is controlled by adjusting the roll gap between the work rolls 1 with hydraulic servo system 4. When the material to be rolled 2 is bitten in the work roll 1 or run out from the work roll 1 in the rolling time, the output signal from the hydraulic servo system 4 against the impulse type command signal inputted into the hydraulic servo system 4 is sampled. The transferring function of the hydraulic servo system is identified based on the above output signal and the command signal. The deterioration state is decided based on the transferring function. Therefore, the easy operation, the speed-up and the improved accuracy for the deterioration diagnosis can be realized.
