Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To improve the yield of the subject material by mixing a petroleum- based heavy oil to a pitch raw material having specific softening point and fixed carbon content, heating the mixture at a prescribed temperature, forming the heat-treated mixture and subjecting the formed product successively to carbonization treatment and graphitization treatment. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. of a raw material pitch having a fixed carbon content of 50-60 (measured in conformity with JIS K2425) and a softening point of 80-150 deg.C is mixed with 50-200 pts.wt. of a petroleum-based heavy oil. The mixture is heated in N2 atmosphere at a prescribed temperature to get a hydroreformed pitch raw material. The reformed pitch raw material is crushed to fine powder, formed under 0.5-3T/cm , e.g. by cold hydrostatic forming, carbonized by heating to about 1000-1200 deg.C at a heating rate of 1-6 deg.C/min and finally graphitized by heating to about 2000-2800 deg.C at a heating rate of 30-60 deg.C/min to obtain the objective high-density isotropic carbon material. |
