LANCET ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: To constitute a lancet assembly of the minimum number of part items and dispose of lancet without any danger of puncturing a user by providing the assembly with a spring having a first end which is fixed to a housing and a second end which is so formed as to regulate a skin puncture end, namely, the lancet. CONSTITUTION: A spring 22 is held in a position energized by a panel holder 40 of a spring holding material 38. When the spring 22 applies pressure on an area where a peg or a finger 42 out of a first housing part 14 are positioned in the main, the area has a notched part so that the peg or the finger 42 moves to a position 16A, similarly, the part 16A having the notched part is made to bend outward, and the panel holder 40 is released from the spring 22. Then, the spring 22 is released so as to move downward, engaged with a fastening tool 36 so as to bend a lancet 32, and makes the lancet to pass through a hole 34 so that the finger of a user or a patient is punctured. Then, the spring 22 is returned to the balanced position. Once it is used in this way, the lancet assembly 10 may be thrown away.
