TOOL FOR WORK ON OVERHEAD WIRE

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of work on an overhead wire by installing a wire holder, a processing device for the overhead wire and a carrier which moves the processing device in a direction parallel to the overhead wire supported by the above-mentioned wire holder. CONSTITUTION:A work tool (wire-stripping tool) 1 is equipped with a work equipment section (wire-stripping section) 3, and a drive section 4 at an end of a base-plate 2 and wire holder guide section 5 at the other end of the base- plate 2. A processing device (wire-stripper) 17 is movable in parallel to a distribution wire W on the base-plate 2 by a carrier P. A wire stretcher 30 having a wire 33 and a wire grip 31 maintain the distribution wire W under work in a state of being stretched and laid. The wire-stripping tool 1 is installed above the wire stretcher 30, and supports the distribution wire W with the wire grip 9. Then, a wire-stripping process is made by the wire-stripper 17. If there is a portion for wire-stripping near the portion where a wire-stripping has been made, the wire-stripper 17 is moved to a position of the next processing along the distribution wire W.
