Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To hold an anode plate and a cathode plate at a small distance from each other and out of contact with each other and to improve the electrolytic power efficiency at the time of alternately arranging plural anodes and cathodes in an electrolytic refining cell for metals by supporting and fixing both electrode plates with an insulating frame consisting of a side frame of specified structure. CONSTITUTION:A couple of insulating frames 10a and 10b symmetrical to the center line are mounted on both sides of an anode plate 20, the anode plate 20 provided with the frames 10a and 10b and a cathode plate 30 are alternately arranged surface-to- surface. The width of the cathode plate 30 is greater than that of the anode plate 20, and the side end 30a is pressed by the frames 10a and 10b mounted on the side ends of the adjacent anode plates 20 and clamped from both sides. The side end face 30b of the cathode plate 30 is covered with the engaging parts 11c of the adjacent frames, and the outer side surface of the frame 10 is covered by the fin 11d of the frames 10a and 10b at the engaging part 11c. The anode plate and cathode plate are arranged by such a frame 10 to form an electrode plate unit 50 which is clamped by a clamp bar 51. Since the anode plate 20 and the cathode plate 30 are arranged at a small distance from each other and out of contact with each other, the electric resistance between both electrode plates is reduced, and metals are electrolytically refined with a small power consumption. |
