Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To decrease number of channels of a satellite communication system by checking whether or not a ground communication system is available periodically even during the standby or the communication utilizing the satellite communication system and selecting the ground communication system with priority when the ground communication system is available. CONSTITUTION:A monitor receiver monitoring the intensity of a radio wave of a mobile radio terminal equipment during communication in a satellite communication system is installed to each radio base station of each ground system zone overlapped with a satellite system zone. Then the intensity of a radio wave of a mobile radio terminal equipment during the communication is measured periodically by a command from a mobile radio control station 17 and the information is sent to the mobile radio control station 17. When a radio base station 15 receiving the intensity of the radio wave of a prescribed value or over exists in the mobile radio control station 17, it is discriminated that the mobile radio terminal equipment enters the ground system zone belonging to a radio base station 15, sends a switching signal and ground system channel information to be switched to a satellite system channel during the communication to apply ' channel changeover during communication'. Thus, number of channels of the satellite communication system is decreased.
