CONSTRUCTION OF DAM USING TRAVELLING CRANE

PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency by a method wherein rails for travelling are laid and a travelling crane placed on a travelling trestle and a transfer car are made to travel over the rails, and concrete is transferred with a transfer car and hoisted and transferred with the crane to a site for concrete placement and the placement is made there. CONSTITUTION:Trestles 8 are erected in the vicinity of rock surface 11 on the upstream side of a dam 10, and rails 7 are laid over the trestles. A travelling trestle 4 carrying a jib crane 1, a transfer car 5 and a bucket truck 6 are placed on the rails 7. The transfer car 5 is loaded with concrete that is delivered from a batcher plant 3 installed at the end of the upper face of the trestles 8, and the concrete is then transferred to an optional position where the bucket truck 6 is positioned. The concrete is thrown from the transfer car 5 into a bucket 2 that is placed on the bucket truck 6 and the bucket 2 is then hoisted and carried with the jib crane 1 to a place where the concrete is to be placed, and the placement is made there.
