Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by selecting a firing/extinguishing signal representative of a plurality of control units at a majority decision section. CONSTITUTION:Controller for a semiconductor power conversion device is constituted such that three control units 100A-C comprising control operation sections 10 and firing/extinguishing signal generating sections 20 are arranged redundantly in parallel and output therefrom are led to a majority decision section 60. Output from the majority decision section 60 is fed to a pulse current amplifying section 30. When outputs from more than two of three control units 100A-C are matched, they are fed as firing/extinguishing signals representative of all control units 100 to a post stage amplifier 30 and the output from minority control unit 100 is neglected.
