Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To provide a chlorine-free bleaching method of pulp which is applicable to a medium pulp concentration, dispensable with an expensive dewatering apparatus and economically advantageous, and comprises introducing an ozone- containing gas of a specific pressure into a specified concentration pulp suspension. CONSTITUTION: (A) The pulp suspension kept at a temp. of 15-80 deg.C, preferably 40-70 deg.C, at a pH of 1-8, preferably 2-3, is bleached with (B) the ozone-containing gas containing 20-300 g/m ozone, preferably 50-150 g/m , and at most 2 mass % ozone, preferably 0.05-0.5 mass %, to dry pulp while the suspension is vigorously agitated and mixed so that component A of 3-20% pulp concentration, preferably 5-20% and more preferably 7-15%, is brought into contact with component B of 1-15 bar pressure, preferably 1.1-10 bar, by introducing it into component A.
