METAL COATING POWDER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To stably and surely manufacture a new metal coating powder having excellent adhering strength and uniform coating property by double coating the inner layer of zinc layer, etc., and the outer layer of copper layer, etc., on the core powder surface of graphite powder, etc. CONSTITUTION:The core powder selected among the graphite powder, metal nitride powder, metal carbide powder, metal oxide powder and metal boride and the metal powder selected among zinc powder, tin powder, lead powder and solder powder (about 1-50wt.% to the core powder) are charged into a vessel together with organic solvent (methyl alcohol, etc.). The mixed material is stirred while heating the material to liquid phase generating temp. or above of the metal powder and the inner layer of metal powder is coated on surface of the core powder. Successively, the core powder coating the inner layer is charged into alkali solution of complexing agent, such as Rochelle salt, and stirred, and the outer layer selected among the copper layer, nickel layer and cobalt layer is coated on the surface of inner layer with chemical plating while maintaining pH in 10-13. By this method, the double coating layer type metal coating powder having good uniformity and large adhering strength, is obtd.
