DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION PROCESSING

PURPOSE:To easily execute maintenance and check without fail even when the number of terminal equipments is large by executing the maintenance and check by a central monitoring device based on data for maintenance check stored in the memory of a transmission processor in the terminal and data from a detector. CONSTITUTION:The central monitoring device monitors a correspondent detector 4 through a transmission processor 10, etc., of each terminal equipment 2 to which this central monitoring device is connected through a transmission line 3. Corresponding to a command from the central monitoring device, a control part 20 of the processor 10 reads out the data for maintenance check intrinsic for the detector 4 from a memory 21 and the data are transmitted to the central monitoring device together with the output data of the equipment 4. In the central monitoring device, these data are compared, it is investigated whether the detector is normal or not, and the maintenance check is executed. Thus, even when the number of the terminal equipments is large, the maintenance and check of the detector is easily executed without fail.
