MONEY RECOGNITION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To accurately recognize the kind of money even when each criterion goes to the very limit by judging the adaption of each feature point on an analog basis and recognizing the kind of the money according to the total judgement of the adaption of respective feature points. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a means 11 which recognizes output values of various sensors 4 and 5 as to fed money and a means 13 for storing a membership function for deciding the adaption of the sensor output value of a feature part in the sensor output values, and the kind of the money is recognized by making a total decision on the adaption of respective feature parts in the sensor output values. Namely, membership functions set corresponding to feature points are applied for the respective feature points of money, etc., obtained by the respective sensors 4 and 5 and the kind of the money, etc., is recognized according to the total decision result of the adaption data. Consequently, even when a decision criterion goes to the very limit, the kind of the money can be accurately be recognized.
