Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To easily and uniformly form bright colors of various color tones by electrifying and heating a material to be treated consisting of titanium alloy in an oxidizing atmosphere and forming an oxide film. CONSTITUTION:At the time of coloring a titanium alloy wire, first a cleaning tank 3 and a drier 4 are provided between a wire feed bobbin 1 and a coiling bobbin 2, and then, a wire W continuously supplied from the feed bobbin 1 is degreased in the cleaning tank 3, dried by means of the drier 4, and electrified and heated between rotating electrodes 5, 5', by which an oxide film is formed. The titanium alloy is easily subjected to selective oxidation on electrification because it is active at high temp., and heating and a transparent oxide film can be formed. When heated up to about 550 deg.C, this oxide film shows gold, purplish-red, purple, blue, and yellow interference colors in succession. |
