EL LAMP

PURPOSE:To improve luminous efficiency, unify a light emitting surface, obtain a long life, and improve luminous intensity by specifying the thickness of a light emitting body layer, the thickness of a dielectric layer, and the average grain size of phosphors of the light emitting body layer. CONSTITUTION:An EL lamp is constituted of a light emitting body layer 1, a dielectric layer 2 located on its back face, a front electrode 3 provided on the front face of the light emitting body layer 1, a back electrode 4 provided on the back face of the dielectric layer 2, water catching films 5 and 6 surrounding them to cut off the outside air, and outer films 7 and 8 airtightly surrounding the whole of them. The thickness of the light emitting body layer 1 is set to 20-50mum, the thickness of the dielectric layer 2 is set to 10-30mum, and the average grain size of phosphors of the light emitting body layer 1 is specified to the range 5-20mum. Luminous efficiency is improved, the light emitting surface is unified, a long life is obtained, and luminous intensity is improved.
