CLOSE CONTACT TYPE IMAGE SENSOR

PURPOSE:To obtain an extremely small sized close contact type image sensor with high picture quality by covering a photodetector array of an optical fiber with a light absorbing body and not using the optical absorbing body for an original. CONSTITUTION:Since the end of the optical fiber at the side of an original 50 up to a prescribed position in optical fiber arrays 5, 6 is not coated, the original 50 is easily lighted via the part of the optical fiber. Moreover, a light absorbing body 17 is covered from the prescribed position toward the photodetector array 3 over a length l in the thickness of (d) so that the product l.d is 1.5X10m or over. Thus, the leakage of light between optical fibers is absorbed by the light absorbing body prior to the incidence to the photodetector 3 and a required and sufficient resolution is obtained. Since the optical length of the arrays 5, 6 is decreased, the extremely small sized image sensor is obtained.
