Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To increase the activity of the catalyst by activating the precursor of catalyst comprising metals of the VI group and VIII group in the periodical table and a sulfurizing agent in a manner that the distribution of pore radii measured by nitrogen adsorption method has a peak in the range of 10 - 40 Angstrom . CONSTITUTION:An inorg. oxide carrier such as gamma-alumina is impregnated with metals of the VI group and VIII group in the periodical table, and then further impregnated with a sulfurizing agent comprising mercaptocarboxylic acid, its ester or salt to obtain a sulfide-precursor type hydrogenation catalyst. This catalyst is subjected to hydrogenation and desulfurization reaction to increase its activity. The active metal sulfide is thus made into fine crystals by this pyrolysis reaction in a manner that the distribution of pore radii measured by nitrogen adsorption method has a peak in the range of 10 - 40 Angstrom . Since this catalyst has fine pores, it has high activity for hydrogenation and desulfurization of hydrocarbon. |
