COMBUSTION DEODORIZER

PURPOSE:To enable a gas containing harmful malodorous substances to be fed into a heating furnace through a furnace wall and contrive savings of a fuel for an assist burner, by surrounding the assist burner with a porous ceramic to form furnace walls. CONSTITUTION:A gas containing harmful malodorous substances is fed from a wind box 6 into a heating furnace 8 through porous ceramic furnace walls 7 on which an oxidizing catalyst 7' is supported. The walls 7 are entirely heated by the heat from a burner 8' in the furnace 8, so that the combustion of the gas is accelerated by the catalyst 7' when the gas permeates through the furnace walls 7. The exhaust gas resulting from the combustion is discharged through an exhaust wall 9 of a porous ceramic into an exhaust chamber 4. The exhaust wall 9 transfers heat into the furnace 8 by radiation, thereby raising and uniforming the temperature inside the furnace 8. The exhaust gas discharged through the exhaust wall 9 preheats the gas containing the harmful malodorous substances, in an indirect heat exchanger 5, before being fed through an exhaust line 10 back to the place where the raw gas originates, i.e., a duct 1. The gas containing the harmful malodorous substances can be fed into the heating furnace, and fuel savings can be contrived.
