WINDING METHOD FOR YARN

PURPOSE:To reduce a cob-webbing and improve the shape of a package by setting the traverse speed constant in a segment with a constant traverse width. CONSTITUTION:When various traverse lengths L2 are changed, the selvage height of a package is made the minimum, and a segment W1 with a constant traverse width is provided between individual traverse lengths L2. The increase or decrease L3 of the traverse speed corresponding to the traverse length L2 is provided, and the winding tension is unified and disturbed. The traverse speed corresponding to the above constant segment W1 of the traverse width is set to a segment W2 with a constant reference speed V. The winding tension is nearly unified except minor fluctuations and has no large fluctuation. No disturbance is applied in the segment W2 with the constant traverse speed, thus it is not preferable from the viewpoint of ribbon winding. The winding speed in a segment S3 is increased or decreased against the segment W2 with the constant traverse speed in place of the increase or decrease of the traverse speed. A lease collapse is performed as shown by a leader line in the figure.
