Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a heat exchanger for plate fins by arranging fins between two plates and on the outer surfaces of the plates, brazing them to form a unit, performing a pressure proof test and laminating and joining sound units. CONSTITUTION:The plates 21 and the fins 22, 23 are laminated alternately, fluid passages 26, 27 are formed between the plates 21 to manufacture a plate fin heat exchanger. In that case, fin 22 is arranged between two plates 21 and the fin 23 is arranged on the outer surfaces of the plates 21. These are brazed to form a unit 20. Thereafter, the pressure proof test is carried out and a specified number of sound units 20 are laminated and joined. In this way, soundness of the brazed part can be confirmed on the way of the manufacturing process.
