FACSIMILE COMMUNICATION CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the time for communication by obtaining a transmission delay time with a delay detection section so as to set a transmission speed of a MODEN section. CONSTITUTION:A delay detection section 20 detects a transmission delay time based on each signal (training check signal TCF, reception preparation confirmation signal CFR or training fault signal FTT) inputted via a main control section 21. When the measured delay time Ta is larger than a prescribed value, the transmission speed of a MODEN section 18 is set to, e.g., 7,200bps or 4,800bps. In this case, the communication time is reduced more in comparison with the case of setting at first to the highest speed 9,600bps and fall-back due to deteriorated line quality.
