SENTENCE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a Japanese word processor or a sentence processor having a sentence producing function by pointing the head character of only the desired one of character strings forming a line and moving partly the characters close to the right with use of a cursor. CONSTITUTION:A user moves a cursor to the head character of a character string which is moved partly close to the right with operation of a cursor shift key. Then the user pushes a function key for partial movement close to the right so that the position of the moved cursor is detected by a CPU 14. Thus a character string set in the sentence end direction is extracted including the position of the cursor. When only the extracted character string is moved close to the right, the address of the line end stored in a storage 13 for lines shown by the cursor is obtained. Then the characters are successively stored at and after the right edge into an address set in the line head direction from an address set at the line end. Then the character set at the left of the character set at the right edge is stored in an address shifted from the address of the line end position by a 1-decrement extent. The extracted character string set after the address of the line end position.
