Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity for rotating operation after displaying an image and to display the image in a required direction, where the image is observed, by providing an image control and display means to execute the rotation, enlargement/reduction and display of the image corresponding to the contents of a file for setting system environment. CONSTITUTION:An image display direction setting means 11, file 13 for setting system environment and image control and display means 12 are provided. The image display direction setting means 11 sets the display direction of the image to be longitudinal or lateral and the file 13 for setting system environment sets a system environment to be required when the image is displayed. The image control and display means 12 executes the rotation, enlargement/reduction and display of the image corresponding to the contents of the file for setting system environment. Thus, the display direction of the image can be set corresponding to the system environment.
